All Day Rusinga Island IG Tour
Areas to be visited and activities to be done
1. Tom Mboya Mausoleum
2. Kiahera or Ligongo hills (Aerial view of Rusinga can be observed from
this point.
3. Birds Island – Over 50 species of birds live here
4.Takawiri Island – Has got white sandy beaches
5. Abasuba Peace Museum in Mfangano Island
6. Mawanga Rock Art in Mfangano Island (The rock art dates back to over
1,000 years)
7. Experience the ghost city (night fishing)
8. Train on boat racing skills with the participants
9. Riding/Cycling on the beautiful terrain of the island
10. Island of Hope Center – visit to this social & economic hub
11. Inauguration of Badilisha Library in Rusinga Island
1pm – 4pm Workshop on HIV AIDS Sensitization

Lake Victoria
10am-5pm Boat ride to Mfangano Island tourist attraction sites
Those interested can extend their stay in Mfangano Island in order to visit
the Kwitone rock arts plus other tourist attraction sites.
